Maybe you’ve made mistakes in your past or you’re struggling with sin in the present. You might feel like there’s no way God could love someone like you. But the good news is that Jesus came to save those who think they are unsavable.
In Luke 5:32, Jesus tells the Pharisees that he came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. And in Matthew 9:13, he says, “I desire mercy, not sacrifice. For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
This means that Jesus came specifically for those who know they need him. He came for the broken, the lost, and the hopeless. He came for you and me. Jesus offers us salvation. Even when we think we don’t deserve it.
